Costa Rican Tarrazu is Central America's most well-known and popular coffee with over thirty-thousand coffee farmers and a fantastic reputation for quality. Costa Rican Coffee from the Tarrazu region is one of the world's greatest coffees with its light, clean flavor and wonderful fragrance. Master roasted to a full roast color just until the sheen of natural oils comes to the surface. This coffee is also Rain Forest Alliance and Fair Trade Certified. A dark and bold French roast completes the flavor profile.

The best grades of Costa Rican coffee are grown in four districts surrounding the capital of San Jose. These four districts - Tarrazu, Tres Rios, Heredia, and Alajuela - are ideal locations for the cultivation of coffee. Blessed with well-drained volcanic soil suitable for growing coffee, Costa Rica has been growing Arabica coffee of an excellent quality since its industry started in 1779. A prime export crop along with bananas, Costa Rica has more coffee trees than it has people.
