Huerto Azul - Chilean Fruit Jam
Chilean entrepreneur Patricia Martini first made these jams and chutneys for family and friends. 10 years ago, she opened an artisan factory, producing marmalade, jam, fruit juice and sauces to stock her four shops in Villarrica and Pucon in the south of Chile. She now sells her products to gourmet stores throughout Chile. Available in three varieties:
- Pear Jam in Merlot Wine: The finest selection of ripe, sweet pears caramelized with the best Chilean Merlot wine, for a gentle sweetness. Use with appetizers, salads, cheese and meats or heat up as a sauce for desserts.
- Maqui Berry and Blueberry Jam: Maqui berry is a native Chilean berry known as a super berry like Acai because it has the highest antioxidant content of any fruit in the world. This rich, sweet jam is ideal on crackers, toast, muffins, waffles and pancakes. Use as a filling for crepes or a sauce for desserts, yogurt or ice cream.
- Fig Chutney with Merken: The finest selection of figs blended with a touch of merken, an indigenous spice mixture made from smoky chili and coriander seeds. The sweetness of the chunky figs and the delicate smoky flavor of the merken make this thick sauce a perfect complement to cheese and meats. Perfect with goat cheese, chicken and pork.
