What's the secret ingredient?
No secret; the Moso Natural Air Purifying Bag is filled with just one ingredient- Moso bamboo charcoal. This incredibly powerful charcoal has millions of tiny little pores and cavities that work together to act like a big sponge. As air passes through the pores, odor, allergen and bacteria particles are trapped on the surface, which in turn purifies your air. To make bamboo charcoal, we start with the highest quality bamboo in the world- moso bamboo. Moso bamboo is a species native to China that will grow to 55 feet or more in just 5 years. The process starts by the bamboo being cut down and laid out to dry for a few weeks. It is then placed into a kiln to be cooked without oxygen at 750°C. When cooked at this high temperature, bamboo charcoal has been scientifically proven to reduce harmful chemicals including formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene and chloroform gases emitted from such items as paint, carpeting, air fresheners, chemical cleaners, rubber and plastic.
How to Use:
Simply place the appropriate sized Moso Bag in the effected area. Once a month, place your Moso Bag outside. The UV rays from the sun will clear out the pores of the bamboo charcoal, making it ready to absorb again. After two years as an air purifier, the Moso Bag will make a wonderful addition to your garden. Simply cut open the Moso Bag and sprinkle the bamboo charcoal into the soil, where it helps plants absorb moisture and nutrients. This completes its life cycle as a product that comes from the earth and ultimately gives back to the earth.
